Page Description

Use the Order Choice Search page to select the desired order choice from the list of order choices that matched your search or to search for a location. When you search for order choices using this page, Copia searches the entire database for the order choice. When you search from the Order Choice Pick List page, Copia only searches the Order Choice Lists for active order choices that match your search.

If there were no matches to your search, Copia alerts you to that fact. Click the Cancel button to return to the preceding page where you may perform another search, if desired. You may also access the Miscellaneous Order Choice page, if you access the Order Choice Search page when creating or editing an order, to enter an order choice that is not in your database.

Accessing this Page

• Enter one or more characters in the search field and click Search on the Order Choice Pick List, Add/Edit List, Add/Edit Profile, Location Inbox, User Inbox, CPT Rules, Routing Rules, Billing Status Rules, Edit Order Entry Rules, Edit Result Evaluation Rules, Edit Split Order Rules, Reporting, System Defaults, or Turnaround Time pages. See the Admin: Edit Order Entry Rule or Admin: Edit Split Order Rule topic.
• Click the Add button on the Pending Collection or Collection List pages.
• Enter one or more characters in the Order Choice Name or Order Choice Abbr. fields, and then click the Order Choice Search button on the Change Log administration page.

Selecting an Order Choice Search Result

1. If your search from a previous page generated one or more matches, then the matching order choices are displayed when the page appears. Each order choice is listed with the Abbreviation, Local Name, CPT Code(s), Other Names, and Collection Information.
2. The Order Choice Search page contains a list of up to ten order choices. If the list is longer than one page, use the Page links, located below the list of order choices, to navigate through the list. If there are more page links than can fit on the page at once, Copia displays the Page field. Enter a number in this field and press the Enter key on the keyboard to immediately open the selected page.
3. If there were no matches or you wish to search again, enter one or more characters in the search field, and then click the Search button. You may enter an asterisk (*) in the search field to search for all order choices that are available for your host location.
4. If you are selecting order choices for order entry rules, then Copia displays the Show active only checkbox. Click this checkbox to have Copia display only active order choices in the list.
5. Click the name of an abbreviation to return to the preceding page with that order choice added to the list of selected order choices. 6. Click Cancel to return to the preceding page without selecting an order choice. Repeat the search if desired.

Accessing the Miscellaneous Order Choice Page

1. If you access this page from the Order Choices page when creating or editing an order, the Add Miscellaneous button appears.
2. Click the Add Miscellaneous button to access the Miscellaneous Order Choice page, where you may add order choices being sent to a reference lab that are not yet in the Copia system. See the Miscellaneous Order Choice topic.
