Admin: Result Delivery
Page Description
Use the Result Delivery page to view or print a report of results delivered
on a specified date via one or more delivery methods. This report includes an entry for each time the report
was delivered via one of the selected methods (Inbox, Fax, Email, or
HL7 transmission). For example, if the report
was sent to a user's Location Inbox and a copy was sent to another provider via fax,
then there would be two entries on the report.
The report criteria allow you to show or restrict displayed results according
to when the order was delivered, the ordering location, the ordering provider,
the patient, the order ID, or the delivery method.
Depending on the level of rights assigned to your role, Copia will limit the report to orders for your signed in location, for the locations associated with your practice, or for all locations for all practices within the system.

Accessing this Page
- Click the Administration menu button, click the Reports button, and then click the Result
Delivery submenu link. You must have the necessary security permissions
to access the Administration menu button. In addition, you must have the necessary rights at the practice level to access this report.
When you click the Administration menu button, Copia opens the main
Administration menu, which contains administrative menu buttons, including
the Reports menu. To return to the main menu for Copia, click the Lab
Tasks menu button.
- Click the Delivery History button on the Lab Report page. You must have the necessary rights to access this page in order for the Delivery History button to appear on the Lab Report page.

Setting the Report Criteria
- Enter the desired report criteria for the Result Delivery Report.
- Delivered Date: Enter a date. Select dates from the calendar view by clicking the calendar icons located next to the Start and End date fields. Copia will only
search for orders delivered on this date. By default, the date is
set to the current date. Click the Now button to insert the current date/time, and click the Clear button to clear the fields of the date/time.
- Ordering Practice: Select the practice associated with the ordering location from the drop-down list. Copia will only search for standing orders that were placed at ordering locations associated with the selected practice. Select "All" to include orders from all practices. Click Search to select the Ordering Practice in the Practice Search page. See the Practice Search topic.
- Ordering Location: Select the location where the order was
placed from the drop-down list. Copia
will only search for orders that were placed from the selected location.
Select "All" to include orders from all ordering locations. Click Search to select the Ordering Location in the Location Search page. See the Location Search topic.
- Ordering Provider: Enter one or more letters and click Search
to select the Ordering Provider in the User Search page. See the
User Search topic. Click Clear
to clear the field.
- Patient: Enter one or more letters and click Search to select the Patient in the Patient Search page. See the Patient Search topic. Click Clear to clear the field.
- Recipient Host: Enter one or more letters and click the Search button to search for and select a recipient host for the result to be delivered.
- Order ID: Enter three or more characters and click Search to select the Order ID in the Order Search page. See the Order Search topic. Click Clear to clear the field. This allows you to limit the content of the report to results delivered for one specific order.
- Note that it is important to select the appropriate criteria to retrieve your desired orders. Use of multiple criteria could limit the number of possible matches, where use of a single criterion could result in multiple matches and draw an Out of Memory error. If either of these events occurs, reset your filters and click the Refresh button.
- Select an option from the Sort by Delivery Date drop-down to have the lab report table sort by a delivery date. Select either "Oldest First" or "Newest First" from the drop-down list.
- Select an option from the drop-down list to select an export delimiter. Select either "Comma," "Double quotes and comma," "Semicolon," "Tab," or "Vertical bar" from the list, followed by clicking the Export button.
- Select one or more delivery methods using the Display results for
checkboxes:
Inbox (sent to the Location Inbox), Fax, Email, HL7 (transmission to the EMR/HIS), RAPS, Direct Printing, or Direct Dial. Copia will only search
for reports that were delivered via the selected methods.
- Once you have the desired settings for the report criteria, click
the Refresh button.
- Copia
updates the Report section of the page, and you may then review and print the report. See "Reviewing and Printing
the Result Delivery Report" below.

Reviewing and Printing the Result Delivery Report
- Once you have set the criteria and clicked the Refresh button,
Copia
updates the list in the Report section of the page. See "Setting
the Report Criteria" above.
- Use the scroll bar on the right side of the page to view the details
for all of the order choices in the report.
- Copia creates a separate page for each ordering location that has results.
- The Delivery Method column will display one of the following:
- Inbox: Reports delivered to the Location Inbox.
- Fax: Reports delivered via fax.
- Email: Reports delivered via email.
- HL7: Reports delivered via HL7 transmissions to the EHR/HIS.
- RAPS: Reports delivered to printers at practices not located at the main Copia facility.
- Direct Printing: Reports delivered in PDF format to a specified printer.
- Direct Dial: Reports delivered via a direct dial phone line.
- Only show results sent to the default printer: Select this checkbox to have Copia only display results that have been sent to the default printer.
- Select the Show Delivery Address column checkbox to include the "Delivery Address" column on the page when exporting a report.
- Enter a value into the Max Results Limit field to configure the maximum amount of results that the Result Delivery administration page displays. The default value is 30,000. Select either "HTML" or "PDF" from the Report Type drop-down menu to specify whether the page should display the lab report in HTML or in a PDF version. The table will automatically update depending on what is selected.
- If available, the Acknowledged By column will display the name of
the person who acknowledged the report in the Lab Report page. See
the Lab Report topic.
- The Manually Generated column displays "Yes" if the report was created manually by a user, and Copia lists that user in the Created By column. If the Manually Generated column displays "No," then the report was automatically generated by the user listed in the Created By column.
- To modify the report, adjust the report criteria and click Refresh.

- Click Print to open the standard print dialogs. Change the
print settings as desired, and then click Print. Copia will print the
report according to the settings you established in the print dialogs
(number of copies, printer destination, etc.). Note that you may need to change the orientation of the page to landscape to ensure all information prints correctly.
- If you accessed this page from the Lab Report, click the Back to Lab Report button to return to that page when you are done reviewing the delivery history.
