Location
Search
Page Description
Use the Location Search page to select the desired location from
the list of available locations or to search for a location. When you access this page from the Order Patient Samples page, the list of locations contains those
that are associated with the current
ordering location. Note that when you use the advanced search filter, Copia displays both active and inactive locations. If you do not use the advanced search filter, Copia displays only active locations.
Note that if a system administrator has restricted a user to a set of locations within a practice, then whenever the user performs a location search, Copia will restrict visible orders to those where the user is granted access to the ordering location.

Selecting a Location Search Result
- If your search from a previous page generated one or more matches, then the matching locations are displayed when the page appears. Each location is listed with the Location name, Location ID, Address, and the Practice with which the location is associated. If you are selecting a location as a fax recipient, then Copia also displays the Fax Number. Note that when you use the advanced search filter, Copia displays both active and inactive locations. If you do not use the advanced search filter, Copia displays only active locations. If you access this page from the Result Recipients page, then Copia also lists Contact Fax and Contact Email information for each user.
- If there were no matches or you wish to search again, enter one or more characters of the location name or ID in the search field, and then click the Search button. You may enter an asterisk (*) in the search field to search for all locations.
- If there is at least one match to your search, then the matching location names are displayed, with their active statuses ("yes" or "no") in the Active column.
- If the list is longer than one page, use the Page links, located below the list of locations, to navigate through the list. If there are more page links than can fit on the page at once, Copia displays the Page field. Enter a number in this field and press the Enter key on the keyboard to immediately open the selected page.
- If you access this page from the Order Patient Samples page and if a patient is already selected, Copia highlights the patient's practice in green and other practices in red. If there is not a selected patient, then Copia does not highlight any practices.
- Click the name of a location to return to the previous page with
that location added to the field or list.
- Click Cancel to return to the previous page without selecting a location.
