Adding Samples to a Collection List
Feature Description
As you are creating a collection list, you may search for and manually add
individual samples to the list of orders available for a collection list.

Accessing this Feature
This feature is only available under certain circumstances. You must
be in the middle of creating a collection list on the Collection List page and use
the Collect Samples page to access the Collection List Search page. You
then have access to the button that allows you to manually add samples
to the list of orders available for a collection list.

Manually Adding Samples to a Collection List
- Before you finish creating a collection list, you may manually add one or
more samples to the list of available orders.
- While you are in creation mode in the Collection List page, click the
Collect Samples submenu link to access the Collect Samples page.
- Use the patient search feature to select the patient whose sample
collection you wish to add to the collection list. See the Collect
Samples topic.
- Find the appropriate sample in the list of outstanding samples, and
click Add to Collection List for that sample.
- The Collection List Search page appears, and when you access this page
from the Collect Samples page while you are in the middle of creating
a collection list on the Collection List page, the Add to Collection List button
is available. See the Collection List Search
topic.
- Click the Add to Collection List button to add the selected sample
to the list of orders available for the collection list you are creating in
the Collection List page.
- Continue searching for and adding samples to the collection list as desired.
- When you have completed adding samples, return to the Collection List page
to view the addition(s). Manually added samples are designated with
an "m" following the Select indicator in the
Creating Collection List section of the page. See the Collection

- Continue creating the collection list as you normally would.
