• Admin: Lab Orders

Use the Lab Orders page to manually generate order messages to send to the appropriate testing locations (labs). In order to queue order messages in this page, you must enable the "Require batch transmission of order messages" option on the Hosts administration page for all hosts for which you wish to use manual message transmission. Note that Copia does not display order choices in cancelled orders on this page. Click the link to access the Admin: Lab Orders topic.

• Release Samples

Use the Release Samples page to manually filter lab orders within Copia. In order to search for specific lab orders, you must insert the necessary criteria in the Lab Orders Filter. You may search for orders by narrowing down information on the order choices. When you have entered the information, click the Refresh button to bring up a list of patients that match the search criteria. Once you have found the patient lab orders that you want to release, you may release the sample by selecting the checkbox and then clicking the Transmit Selected button. This will release the patient samples. Click the link to access the Release Samples topic.

Accessing these Pages

• Click the Administration section, and then click the Monitor menu, followed by the Lab Orders submenu link.
• Click the Lab Tasks section, and then click the Manage Samples menu, followed by the Release Samples submenu link.
• Select the "Monitor > Lab Orders" or "Manage Samples > Release Samples" options as the Application Start Page on the Application page.
