Using Quick Comments
Page Description
Use the Quick Comments pop-up window to add or remove pre-defined comments from the text of the comment you are editing. You define quick comments in the Quick Comments administration page, and you also select the comment pages on which the quick comment should be available. Depending on those settings, quick comments may be available on the Add/Edit Patient Comment, Add/Edit Order Comment, or Add/Edit Order Choice Comment pages. See the Add/Edit Patient Comment, Add/Edit Order Comment, or Add/Edit Order Choice Comment topics.

Selecting Quick Comments
- When you open the Quick Comments pop-up window, Copia displays a list of all of the quick comments available for the type of comment you are creating or modifying (patient, order, or order choice).
- Select the checkbox next to each pre-defined quick comment you wish to include in the comment text.
- Select a placement option for the comments:
- Postpend: Select this option to add the comment at the end of text you have entered on the main comment editing page.
- Prepend: Select this option to add the comment at the beginning of text you have entered on the main comment editing page.
- Replace: Select this option to use the comment instead of text you have entered on the main comment editing page.
- Select a separation option for the comments: Comma, Semicolon, Colon, Space, or Vertical Bar. Copia adds this character between each quick comment you select when it adds the quick comments to the comment text.
- Click Close Window to return to the main comment editing page without
saving your changes.
- Click Save to save the modifications to the comment and return
to the main comment editing page.
