Accounts
Page Description
Use the Lab Accounts page to review or modify user-level lab account
information. These accounts only apply to users who are signed in as providers.
Note that you may establish different lab account numbers for each practice
the user belongs to.

Modifying Lab Accounts
Note that this page is only available for users designated as providers.
Note that you can update the account number for a user from the Account
Numbers page during order entry; however, those changes will not appear
in this page until you sign out and sign back in. See the
Account Numbers topic.
- The labs associated with the selected practice are displayed when
the page appears. Each lab is listed in the Lab Name column,
and the selected practice is displayed at the top of the list.
- Enter a code in the Account # field. Copia will use this
code as the lab account number when it is appropriate to do so based
on your billing settings. See the Setting Billing Account Numbers topic.
- Select for each lab either Client Bill or Direct Bill as your billing
preference. Some labs will not allow client billing, in which case Copia uses direct
billing whether or not it is the preferred method.
- Client Bill: The provider will bill the patient.
- Direct Bill: The lab will bill the patient.
- Click Cancel to return to the preceding page without saving your
changes.
- Click Save to save the modifications to the lab accounts and
return to the preceding page.
