Patient Comments

Page Description

Use the Patient Comments page to view or modify the list of comments related to the current patient. Patient comments can be used to attach additional information about the patient to the patient record.

Viewing the Patient Comments List
  1. This page lists all of the comments that are currently related to the patient. Each comment is listed with the date it was Entered. In addition, there are checkboxes that indicate when and where the comment will appear: Display on lab report and Display on requisition and manifest.
  2. To modify this list, you may add, edit, or delete comments (see below).
  3. When you add a comment, then the date in the Entered column becomes a link. Click the Entered date to open the Add/Edit Patient Comment page to view or modify the patient comment. See "Editing Comments on the List" below.
  4. Once you have finished viewing the comments, click OK to return to the Demographics page.

Adding Comments to the List
  1. If you do not see the desired comment in the Patient Comments list, click the Add button to access the Add/Edit Patient Comment page where you may enter a new comment for the patient. See the Add/Edit Patient Comment topic.
  2. Once you have added the comment, click Save to return to the Patient Comments page. Note that some comment text must be entered in the field in order to save and close the pop-up.

Editing Comments on the List
  1. If you wish to edit a comment in the Patient Comments list, click the date in the Entered column to open the Add/Edit Patient Comment page where you may modify the patient comment. See the Add/Edit Patient Comment topic.
  2. Once you have edited the comment, click Save to return to the Patient Comments page.

Deleting Comments from the List
  1. If you wish to delete the comment from the Patient Comments list, click the X button that corresponds to the comment you wish to delete.
  2. Copia immediately deletes the comment. This action cannot be undone.
  3. If you accidentally delete a comment, you may recreate it by adding a new comment (see "Adding Comments to the List" above).
