Use the Location Lab Accounts page to modify the details for the location-level lab accounts. Note that the lab accounts apply to the location you are currently signed in to. You may change locations using the Set Location page. See the Set Location topic.

Modifying Location Lab Accounts

1. The host labs associated with the current location are displayed when the page appears. This list includes only active labs.
2. Enter a code in the Account # field. Copia will use this code as the lab account number when it is appropriate to do so based on your billing settings. See the Setting Billing Account Numbers topic.
3. You may change this setting, if your security settings and the administration settings for the practice associated with your signed in location allow you to do so. Some labs will not allow client billing, in which case Copia will use direct billing whether or not it is the preferred method.
• Client Bill: The provider will bill the patient.
• Direct Bill: The lab will bill the patient.
4. Select the Override User Account # checkbox to have Copia assign the location-level lab account number over the user-level and practice-level settings. See the Setting Billing Account Numbers topic. Note that if you select this option, you can manually select to use the user-level lab account number from the Account Numbers page during order entry. See the Account Numbers topic.
5. Click Discard Changes to clear your changes and return to the last saved values on the Location Lab Accounts page.
6. Click Save to record your changes.
